Nateowens Topic Author Offline User Posts: 13 Thank you received: 0	Hi all, I'm After some info on carbs for a kz650 I recently bought another bike a kz650 I've started the restoration and found the carbs fItted were Keihin cv type carbs with serial number TI29 are these suitable for this engine? Any help would be appreciated

martin_csr Offline User Posts: 7983 Thank you received: 1621	A photo would be helpful for identifying the carburetors. The serial number probably won't be much help. I'd guess they're from a 750-4. With the proper jetting, they'll probably work fine. ??? The 82-83 650-CSR came w Mikuni BS32 carburetors (CV type). 1981 KZ650 Competition Sports and Road

Nateowens Topic Author Offline User Posts: 13 Thank you received: 0	I could be mistaken but I don't think these carbs are off a 650 or 750 KZ that's why I supplied the serial number of the carbs as well the engine number is KZ650BE1***** the pics are from when I stripped them for cleaning

No, the frame number won't help since it's a combination of different fame and engine. However, you still will need to know what model bike the engine came from as there are significant differences between the engines of the various years/models. Since you are reluctant to give the engine serial number (afraid it's stolen?) take a look at the link below to figure out what model KZ650 it is from. Ed
