I took the gas tank off after running the bike for a few minutes to do a compression test, only to find that my petcock rebuild did not work. What a pisser. Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue...
The engine was warm, not super hot. Compression test results:
1 - 145
2 - 144
3 - 135
4 - 148
Question: Does this indicate that my valves are okay and I don't need to rip the valve cover off with the potential to compromise the gasket, or just that the cylinders have okay rings?
The cylinders were barely within the 10% range... Moving on to cleaning number way too many, then to the Gunson Colortune. Will be ordering a Carbtune next, then going back and forth to find unity.
