Hello All,

After recently breaking off the float tower / post on a nice set of carbs, KZR member 531BlackBanshie (Leon) made me aware of a place that can fix them. I wanted to get a post on here about it because I know this has happened many, many times before and this is an absolutely awesome fix. The part can be Laser / Micro Welded!

I will list the info for where I had it done but I'm sure there are other places that can do it too. I don't mean for this to be an advertisent, just some great info if you have a broken post! The place that did it for me only charged $25 plus return shipping and turned it around in one day. Awesome job and saved me from buying another set of carbs or a #2 carb body at a minimum.

Pics of my repair (post all torn up from me, not the repair process):

I believe this repair will be as strong as the original casting or even more so. So this is where I personally chose to have it done....great work and fantastic customer service:

Thats pretty cool. We used to take a tiny drill bit and drill through the base of the broken post, quick steel the post, then use safety wire to sinch it tight. Not as good but sure makes a customer happy when hes already about broke.
Remember, don't work on your bike so much you never ride it.
