Yes, but you might need the adapter plate that Z1 sells as well. Plug the vac line.

Z1 sells a Suzuki replacement petcock that's a direct bolt up for the kz650 tank. You need to measure the bolt spacing because there are 2 different petcocks available with different spacing, one of them is an exact fit. You'll need to take the back cover off the new petcock and rotate it 90 degrees for the outlets to face the right way, but that's it. IIRC the petcock in question is right around $75 or so, cheaper than the Pingel once you work out the adapter plate and all...

I guess I should have put out the money for a pingle. I bought a cheaper version at Z1E for my Z1 and I cant ride the bike because it is an environmental disaster. Put fuel in go for a ride and the next morning the tank is slap ass empty. I thought they corrected this with viton o-rings to help with the ethanol gas these days, now I have to go on the hunt to rebuild a brand new petcock. After all the items I have purchased from Z1E this is the only problem item I have encountered. Any sources for o-rings that will hold up to the corn liqueur from the gas pumps

Kow, which adapter plate did you need for your 78? Also did you find a cap for your vacuum nipple on the carb?
