Was having a discussion the other day about 1979-80 KZ 1000 Mark II engine camshafts. I was told the base circle diameter is different than earlier cams? I have a nice stock OEM set and was measuring the lift? They seem to be 1.110" base circle. They have a different lift?
Just pondering it?

All Z1 , Z900, Z1000, Z1R and MK2 kickstart type engines have the same camshaft base circle and lift.

Thanks Zed. I figured that. I know sprockets have 32 teeth. Been awhile since I had a stock Mark II top end.
Cams lobes are perfect. Not even off by .001"
