Does anybody have any experience with these guys or the exhaust:
www.wemoto.com/bikes/kawasaki/gpz_550_a1...mplete_system_black/

Looks like they ship to the US, may be a good option, but a little more than MAC system.

I've read lots of positive reviews about Marving over the years. Quite expensive. I like how they tuck up tight under the engine. 4:1's with a square collector typically get bashed up on the bottom because of diminished ground clearance, and this issue gets compounded greatly on pipes that don't tuck up close under the engine (which is quite common).

Ooooooh
Black chrome !
Nice

I have an old black (paint not black chrome) Mac and i like the sound but the flanges are made of soft metal which bends easily using anything more than hand tight and then the studs bend also.

With the british pound down against the $ it could work out to a good deal

I have a Marving on my three bikes Z1R, GPZ1100 and FJ1200. The Z1R and the GPZ both have the racing tail pipe which is not too loud but the sound is ................Marving, beautiful. They are both chrome. Goes like stinks compared to previous pipes I had.

The FJ has a Black chrome Enduro pipe, sounds and goes great but the black chrome is not as good as bright chrome, the headers tend to lose colour and rust on the face.

The Kawasaki's don't have access to the oil filters but with careful spanner work you can get to the sump plug. Considering how brilliant these pipes are I don't mind removing the pipe every oil filter change for a clean etc.

I got my pipes through two sources, one in the Exactrap UK and the other Monster parts? in the US. In Australia any exhaust pipes cost a fortune (maybe Delkevic is the acception) so I actually found the Marving a bargain (around $A450 delivered for the Z1R, FJ was around $790A and the last was around $640 as well).
The GPZ below had a street pipe (actually my previous Z1r pipe, thats why it angles up nicely), looks nice but doesn't perform like the Racing tail pipe. The GPZ now has a racing pipe fitted.

The Z1R with the racing tail pipe

The FJ 1200 with the enduro pipe
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, getting new/ refurbished 83-84 motor soon
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as above)

Great information!
these pipes are on my shortlist.

Turns out Monster imports all the options and they somewhat close to me here in the northwest - all good news.

I have used Marving exhaust for the last 3 years now on my GPz1100 UT.
It`s the "black Chrome" type for road use.
The system works fine, I can`t notice any change in performance compared to the original exhaust.

The "black chrome" on it lasted about two years, so I got it coated last winter with Ceracote C7600, not good so
I`m getting a new coating this Winter.
Ceracote again, but warm-hardened this time.

The fit of the system is not the best, you have to bend a little on the headers to get them right connected.
Not a big problem.
And the headers have different lengths, not optimal
You have to disconnect the headers to get to the oil filter.

Curious about the power, what tail pipe have you got? I did mention the oil filter not being accessible and the same for the black chrome, although here in Oz it would not rust as quickly, the chrome is definitely better. I didn't have a problem with the headers aligning. Maybe you got a Monday pipe, if you do have a standard tail pipe try the racing pipe it really makes a difference.

I have a standard pipe.
Didn`t have a serious rust problem, just some rust on the weldings.
But the "chrome" looked very worn after two seasons, that is wy I got it coated

I was curious as to the flow characteristics of the flat 4-1 vs a cone style 4-1. I emailed Rick at Cone Engineering who is my go-to exhaust expert and has flow tested many different styles of exhaust systems in his day. Here was his response:

"The flat style flows roughly 20% less efficiency than the stacked merge with bullet. Using a series of 2-1 collectors rather than a flat 4 can give you the ground clearance with better flow"

for my 1400cc fuel injection project I will likely be going with an imported pipe off of Webike in Japan.

Just thought i'd share for everyone curious about the performance of these pipes
