Hi Kz Riders

The bike is a 1980 Kz1000 mk2,

I am awaiting an Owners Manual and a bit stuck on the size of the clutch push rod, is it perhaps 7mm X 289mm? And will the ball bearing size be the same as rod size.
Sorry, I feel so stupid asking all these questions.

Regards
Doc

Including information about bike year and model is helpful to viewers.

While it may sometimes be possible to comb through another member's various earlier postings among other threads in an effort to help guess what make and and model is being asked about, I suspect that many members who are normally generous toward posting helpful replies will simply pass and move on without bothering to comb.

It's easy to put the information in your signature where it shows in all posted messages, past and future. And the signature may be changed whenever and as often as desired.

If wanting a signature showing information about the bike in posted messages, it's easy to do. Here's how:

Doc,

I'm curious why you need to know about the push rod...missing one and.making your own?

Exactly. Just dont get parts here. Kawasaki SA wants me to wait 4 weeks. How difficult can it be? I be using 302 stainless to machine to a 7mm( and I think 289mm)

Its for the mk2. Thanks KrayZ.

They are as common as dirt here - used - and cheap as chips, too. I'm thinking you need a used parts connection here in the Americas....

I'll check my spare parts bins later in the week and see if I have one to measure... I have a few of the '81 and up ones, but I'm not sure about the '80 model.... I'll have get back to you on that one....

Hey - just read your signature line and...you have a '79 ST - the push rod in that is Identical to the '80 MKII - measure / copy that one!
