Hello all,

The kz don't start.

I check the spark plugs and alls have a fire.
I check the cabs fuel level with clear tubes method.
I check the battery level.
I check the air filter.
I check the fuel quality.
Petcok on, neutral position, run button on.
I try the kickstarter.

The motorccyle is in a good condition. was starting like a charm 1 year ago. But was more an more long to start the first start since next month. Then when she was running, it was not difficult to restart.
I have no more ideas actually...

When was the last time you adjusted the valves.

If the bike has sat for more than 3 months the carbs could be gunked up too.

How old is the battery & did you keep it charged? I would charge it with a motorcycle battery charger & make sure it is good. you should test it --- don't assume it is good. After charging, it should be at least 12.6 VDC, but a good battery will usually be higher. A simple load test is to charge the battery, then turn on the headlight high beam (engine off). A good battery will drop from 12.6+ VDC to about 12.2. If it drops below that, the battery may need replacing. If it drops below 11 VDC, the battery is probably shot.

You have a 38 year old motorcycle. How about cracking that manual and doing some maintenance? There is a maintenance table in the manual which tells you what should be done and how often. In addition your bike is sure to need a deeper level of maintenance due to neglect. For example, failing to adjust the valves will damage them as well as the cylinder head. if that's the case you need to recondition the head which is an even bigger maintenance task.
