Hey guys, I'm moving from CT to Lakewood, CO (west Denver). I am driving a 16' Penske moving truck and planning to put my '78 650 in the front, on center stand, strapped down and covered by heavy padding. I will have the battery removed, gas tank empty. Any other advice to get it there safely?

Sounds good.
Lots of options on tying bikes down.
I prefer to use my side stand as it is not so tipsy with 3 good points of contact , ( 2 tires and side stand.)
The exception for me is if Im using a front wheel chock and still have both tires on the ground .
Regardless I use 4 ratchet tie straps , One on each corner..
Just my personal choice

Moved my GPz750 from southwest Florida to Houston in a 16' rental truck. Put it on the centerstand, chocked the front wheel, and nailed a wedge behind the rear wheel to the wooden floor of the van. Of course, four tie-downs from the bike to the sides of the truck. Came through fine...despite I-10. :)

Mcdroid, was bike facing forward or sideways? I'm thinking sideways is best.

I faced mine forward...although sideways should work also. AND, make sure the bike is in gear.

Looking forward to those canyons ;)
I was in a dealership recently and was drooling over a Triumph Tiger and imagining some overnight camping trips. The KZ may need a big brother soon, hah!
