This topic is for kzdzw. I was telling him to take off the cam chain adjuster to see if it was at the end of the adjustment. Being I have Liska rollers it isn't so bad. With stock rollers, it could mean they are worn out and needing to be replaced. I'll be doing a valve adjustment in the morning and will look closer to mine and the guide in the front of the head.
I also put in one step smaller pilot jets. At the end of the clip the bike shifts into 5th well before the next street. It's just a little quicker. B)

The aftermarket just won't work for me. I don't like it anyway so I fixed mine. A little hand milling and filing, it should work better than new. B)

Is there any reduced chain noise now?

Yes. I haven't adjusted it for quite a while so I decided to check it. Glad I did. Been thinking about doing this mod for a while. Z1E and the other places don't seem to have the plungers and I'm tired of being GANKED on eBay.

When I had mine off during that 1075cc installation, I cleaned up the flat on the shaft and pulled the spring out a little bit.
When installing it, I pulled the plunger all the way back to compress the spring and then after installed, set the crank in the right spot for back side chain slack and undid the bolt.... SNAP PING!
Although I did replace all the little dampers, rubber roller, and the flat guide, in the cam chain assembly, the chain noise was dramatically reduced!
I probably have adjusted the cam chain around that every 3000-4000 mile mark since new but this update really made a difference.

The Liska billet rollers are noisier than stock. The adjuster has a aluminum pad so I guess it is noisy too. I kinda like the whrrring sound they make. B)
