Searched the archives looking for an answer but still don't have all the info. Basically, Kawasaki has superseded the part number for the 750 head gasket and combined it with various other models, including the 650.

11004-1107 is the standard part number, now discontinued.
There seem to be various superceded numbers with 11004-1268 being the current iteration, which is MLS type.

Searching ebay for a decent price and parts for the Zepher/kz700 pop up. 11004-1028 and 11004-1101. Does anyone know of a reason these gaskets don't show in the supersession chain for the 750? These gaskets seem to also be MLS and can be found for cheaper prices than the newer part.

My head is still spinning after researching all the various part numbers and how they fit into the supersession chains. This search is complicated by the fact that Kawasaki dumped the 650 gaskets and superseded them with the 750 gasket which has a larger bore.

In the end I wound up ordering the 11004-1037 because it falls into the 750 chain and could be had for a reasonable price off ebay. I'm still intrigued by the MLS type gasket but can't find one for a reasonable price. There are more options for the 650 guys. Pretty sure the true 650 gaskets have a smaller bore hole though. Not sure what would happen if you tried to use of of these with a 750.

Glad the 700cc Wiseco piston kit came with a quality head gasket or I would have went through and worried about this too.

IIRC correctly I read somewhere that the zx turbo head gasket can be used as it is higher spec for the same cost.

I the cam chain tunnel cutout shape is different on the turbo/Zepher gasket. Not sure why though.
