Anyone have any engine work or building done by Pit Stop Performance in Orlando? Was just curious as to some reviews if possible. I've heard they're really good at building most anything you want.

I have used them and I am happy with their work.

Last year I had them bore the pistons out one size bigger and bought the MTC piton kit from them as well. This year I had them do the top end,...new valve guides valve seats, etc. The finished product was good quality.

They have a good customer service (mostly via email but he did respond). The turn around time is reasonable,...about three weeks.

So my experience with them has been good and can recommend them.

And the best part is that now engine is running great,..no more smoke and good compression.

Thanks. I've heard they have a better rep than RLC.

Last year there was a guy that insisted on trashing them. He had sunken valves and most everyone agreed. Still he wouldn't stop until the thread was locked. Mistakes can happen and maybe he got a raw deal but enough was enough. I would have ended it if I could at the time.

The name is similar but how do you know it's the same business? If you are wrong, that's slander.
I for one don't like it.

Not the same business.
Joe Hooper's shop is PITSTOP PERFORMANCE.
There appeared to be some issues with built motors he was selling and some head work but this seems to corresponded with the time of his illness.
Most likely the problems were down to work done in his absence by other employees of less experience.
Personally I have never had any problems with his work and would recommend his services.

Same here, I bought parts from him for my Z1R, he always had time to write an email and pass his knowledge on. When the complaint about him started I could not believe it was the same person (joe) being complained about. Like you the only thing I could think of was some-one did his work while he was in hospital.
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, getting new/ refurbished 83-84 motor soon
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as above)

Don't be an idiot. READ what I posted. I did some research and posted what I found. I have no opinion. That check was 2000. That was 15 years ago. As far as I am concerned PSP would be good to go. Wouldn't you like to see ALL info available? Don't ever accuse me of anything criminal again.

I concur. I think that PSP is G2G.
