Go jam nut, don't use too much torque though otherwise it might break.

If it does not unscrew, you may cut it where it is still straight, weld a gob of rod/wire and screw it out with a pair of pliers (work for me on brake caliper bolts)

Be patient and try to get it out as it is with a lot of bolt-out. Hard lesson learned, do not over torque it!

If heat plus gentle twisting doesn't remove the bent stud, could consider (as LudiqueIf suggested) cutting off the stud with enough remaining to weld on a nut to grip for turning.

OK, I fixed this today and it wasn't bad at all. i heated the stud so that it was more malleable and gently bent it almost straight (using a mallet to tap the double bolts I put on). Then I heated the base, sprayed some lubricant which got sucked into the threads, and it came right out easy-peasy by turning the jamnut with a socket wrench. I feel like i probably could have just used the bent bolt once it was straightened out but maybe it would have been too weakened.

Steel + Aluminum = Anti-Seize compound

Copper is good to 1800 deg temp. Put some on stud before installing it.

I'm happy for your because broken bolts/studs/screws are a pain.

Remember that flexed metal does bend back, but it is not the initial bent that comes back. its generally the metal just aside the initial bend.

To straighten a 45 deg bend, new 45 deg bend or 2 new 22,5deg (or any combination) close to the initial bend must be created. It is a lot of stress (more stress than most of us will encounter in a whole year). Metal hardens has it is worked and the harder, the most brittle hence easy to break.

Kids scream upstairs, I must leaveā€¦

Cheers
