I had trouble with second too many times so I rearranged the tranny. I took the spacer that lies against
the snap ring (in between second gear output and the snap ring on the shaft), out of there so sec gear
would move forward and closer to 5th gear output and its dogs. I placed the spacer behind second gear
output. The spacer fits on the splines, the bearing spacer washer holds it on them. Sec gear had to
be ground on the left side to clear a gear on the mainshaft, the 5th gear dogs had to be tipped to
keep clear of rubbing against sec gear in between the recess's. Much better engagement and I
don't see any sec gear problems in the future. I'm just about ready for the stainless steel bolts!
