Okay so i took front tire off and check breaks rebuilt calipers and put new brake fluid in and bled breaks but now when i hooked up my speedo it dont work. I unscrewed the wire from the actual speedo part and it was just a wire no notch on it like there was on the wheel part so i dont know if maybe the problem is here. How do i remove the speedo from the bike i cant see how its attached. also should the part that the wire connects to on the wheel be able to spin around on the wheel hub ? any idea how i can fix this im starting to get frustrated one problem after a other and all i wanted to do was take the front tire off and check breaks

if i unhook wire from speedo and spin tire the cable turns which tells me it must be hooked up right on the tire does it matter what way the cable turns ?

Check to ensure that the speedo drive unit at the axle is in the correct position. The first 2 images below may help. The top end of the cable doesn't have a notch. Instead, the inner cable at the top is square (see 3rd image). After you are sure the speedo drive unit is oriented correctly you may need to turn the wheel a little to get the top end to seat into the speedo properly. It doesn't really matter which way the wheel turns, but I wouldn't spin it backwards at great speeds. Ed

Sounds like you did not get the dogs on the inside of the speedo gearbox aligned with the tabs attached to the hub before you tightened things up. In any case there is a boss cast into the bottom inside of the fork slider that is supposed to stop the gearbox from rotating.
Good luck

OKay to took tire off and put back on and same problem when the wheel spins so does the speedo gearbox thing on the hub the only way i can stop this is to loosen the fork bolts on the bottem holding tire on and then tightening the axel nuts on the outside then tightening the fork bolts again the when i turn the tire it barly spins feels very tight but the speedbox thing stays at 2 clock like it says in the manuel

As Bill indicated above it is possible you do not have the gearbox properly engaging the hub. I suggest you remove the wheel and gearbox then take a careful look at the inner part of the gearbox where it engages the hub and also look at the hub. You should see how the two pieces fit together. It's been a while since I had mine apart, but I believe on the hub you will see 2 depressions in the hub where the gearbox drive tangs engage the hub (see arrows in image below). If they are not mated together properly you will have problems. If you can post some lose-up pictures of the way it is now that might also help. Ed

I'm not trying to be an alarmist, but there's a good chance you are going to hurt or kill yourself if you don't get some hands-on help. I am not kidding.

You said you loosened your axle bolts and drove the bike. That is a suicidal thing to do. Motorcycles are a lot of fun, but they can also hurt you very quickly!

Please - get the manual and get someone with KZ experience to help you until you gain a bit more understanding of the bike. Please don't be offended, but it is obvious that you don't yet have a good understanding of how the front wheel, speedo gearbox, etc. should be installed. We do not want to read about you wrecking when the front wheel comes loose. Ed
