adjustable cam sprockets have slots in them. The camshafts have sprockets on them. for an easy cheap performance up grade some people degree there cams in. You do not need bigger carbs to gain performance. you need to get all the things in order intake cams and exhaust size all to work together. its all simple math for some.. I dont know chit but i read and stayed at a holiday inn once.

Mikuni should reissue the old 29s ....sell them for $550 a set. They would be a hot seller.

I saw those (above) but I have the 29 pumpers. I have dyna ignition. Right now I have a little bit of leak down on my exhaust valves. Not sure if its the valves or the seating. Problem is that my proformance shop is full, 3-8 weeks out. I want to get this all together in a month because we are moving to tampa.

29mm carbs are plenty for a street driven motor :)
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Pete....those carbs are usually way over jetted on the slow/pilot circuit and even on the jet that feeds the enrichener circuit. You'll have to see as you go as to what you need but a 65 or possibly even 62 pilot may be needed.

You usually can't use full choke even on a stone cold motor on a cold day. Just a whisker of lift on the lever is what works. That can be lived with or cured with a smaller jet on that circuit.

i'm running RS36's on my GPz1100 engine. 1175 Wiseco pistons, Web .385 lift cams , porting and 4 into 1 pipe. The RS36 is right on the edge of being to big. It runs great and I do have more plans in the future but if I were to leave it as is I would downsize to the RS34.
I would just use your stock carbs and tune them to your motor.

My 1197 KZ loved RS36 carbs. They were flawless in response and idle quality. I'd put them on a hot 1075 in a heart beat. Not a 1074 with .400 lift cams and stock valves.....BUT something special that is setup to rip ;)
