Getting started on the list provided by martin_csr -- changed oil & filter this weekend, and managed to pump all the old brake fluid out the bleeder, while replenishing with brand new fluid at the top. I put more fluid in the top than the volume of the reservoir, by a factor of at least 3, so I'm pretty sure I flushed all the old fluid out. It hadn't been changed for many years. Managed not to introduce any air into it. I expect my Dyna S and new coils Tuesday or Wednesday.

I would also check the wheel bearings, and re-grease them or replace with new ones, they're cheap enough. The fuel filter is really important for these old bikes. Check the float bowls to see if you messed them up with crap, you my have to redo them. Follow Martins advice, he's been around a while.Bob

OKKZ, nice looking machine for its age. you have been given some good info. I would have the valves checked if they have not been checked in awhile for piece of mind if nothing more.

Nice 650!

I would change the gas if your still working on the tank that had stabil in it all Winter.
I will store my bike with a full tank and stabilizer, but in the Spring will drain it and use it in the car, and put fresh gas in the bike.
