How to unlock a seized engine without tearing it down? i heard tranny fluid in the spark plug holes is real good,what is your opinions people?
Current bike..1977 kz1000 1075cc kit,dyna everything,lotsa chrome,kerker pipe.

i have seen people use desiel, tranny fluid kerosene that sort of thing but you will have to take it apart anyway because most times they are seized because water got in the cylinder somehow and if that has happened then the rings will be rusted into the bores so even if you get it freed up and could make it run again the cylinders and rings will have been damaged so you will end up needing a bore job at the very least.

I have a complete 903cc motor that has been seized for so long I am going to use muriatic acid to help me out.

That acid and aluminum are a very bad combination!! It will rapidly attack any aluminum it comes in contact with.

PB Blaster, Marvel Mystery oil and even used Diesel engine oil will be much safer.

How it seized would influence the manner in which it is freed.

Did it rust from sitting?

Yeah it froze from time and being under a tarp for 10 years. It's a kz1000,will be parting it out btw.

I use trans.fluid and gas mixture and let it sit a few day before attempting to turn it over .works for me everytime. but if water got in the clys is a different story as long as the motor had carbs on and exhaust you should be good...1/2 and 1/2 with the mix..

PB Blaster is ofen used. I use Kroil penetrating oil to free rusted things.
