I went with the socket and a regular compressor tool.

thats my style of homemade tool!;) youd thijnk with all of Apejays money he could afford a decent socket and c-clamp!:P

ive also used the socket on a drill press once or twice,but it takes a little practice!:P

Shim bucket with the top drilled out and a metal U brazed on. Use with a big 'C' clamp and a small block of wood. You can braze using a MAPP gas torch if you use a silver bearing filler. For brass the oxy- torch is quicker/easier. I'll be making another soon since some A$$hole stole all my tools.

I have to say, these are all very nice, but mine was probably the simplest and least expensive to make, only took a few minutes (if you don't count the time it took for the glue to dry) and did the job just fine.

Had I used epoxy instead of Gorilla Glue, the pipe would probably still be stuck to the swivel...

Thank you all SO MUCH! I spent close to 2 hours with a C clamp and spark plug socket trying to figure this out. I guess I'll cut out that notch and put that 1/4" stick magnet to good use.
