i stuck a 1100 sized sleeve in my 1000J cases and came out victorious, any bigger of a sleeve and you will have to bore the cases.

NOW, that is the post I have been waiting for!!!!!! THEMACHINE, I hope you are good looking, because I could kiss you:laugh: I can now order my pistons and have the block punched. I just did not want to tear the cases apart to mill the slips.

you may have to file some flashing off depending on how bad it is in your cases, i washed my crankcase out with brake parts cleaner then hosed it with penetrating oil and motor oil.

I am also putting a 1981 1100 jugs on a 1981 kz 1000j.the question I got,,,,, do I put the 1100 head on the 1100 jugs with the 1000j bottom end.??? or... 1000j bottom end 1100 jugs 1000j head??? wich will make more power!!!

Simple answer ....
The GPZ1100 top end will drop straight on to the 'J' crankcases with no filing.
It was only some of the early 900 cases that needed filing to take 1000 blocks NOT the later 'J' style non kickstart engines.

ok got that. listen to this Idea wildisould the motor make more power with the 1000j head on the 1100 jug? I think the head chamber is bigger on the 1100 and im not sure which head has a bigger cams? so this I what I would like to do I want to put my 1981 gpz cylinder on my 1981 kz1000j bottom end with 1000j head and 1100 cams?????????I think I read the 1100 cams are bigger and the 1000j head cc is smaller. so in the end more compression and more lift right ???somebody straighten me out I got all the parts. just need some info!!!!!!!!!
