Some friends and I rode from the small community we live iat in the Central Valley to Bridgeport Ca on Saturday. We started out from Reedley. Departure time was 6:30. Stopped for gas and coffee at Oakhurst and then to the south entrance to the park. We stopped again at the big tunnel parking lot where everyone takes pictures.

We continued on to Crane flat so I could gas up my KZ 1000p again. The ride through the park is always beautiful although it's awfully dry now. Weather couldn't have been better. No drama and out the east entrance we went. Mono Lake looked nice as we headed north on 395. I've always loved it on that side of the sierras. We met a riding buddy at the jolly cone drive in at Bridgeport. We scouted some natural hot tubs south of town for future camping trips.

We started on our way home on the next pass to the north, hwy 108 to Sonora .

Road conditions were excellent all the way back to the valley. We took hwy 49 back to oakhurst. Part of this route is called the little dragon. It's a very curvaceous stretch of road with an inspiring surface! I ground my boards numerous times. I never can get comfortable with hearing that but am glad to grind. We all made it home a little after dark . In all we rode 460 miles and had a memorable day
