Once again the great Darke county fair has come & gone...Billed as the "largest agricultural fair iin the world"! dunno about all that, but it is a local institution...Best part (to me, anyway) is the free bike parking right outside the entrance gate...no walking for 6 blocks, and/or paying 5 dollars...just roll right up, and walk in! Took a few pics to share with y'all...

saw this pretty old girl as I was walking in..."Bluella's" tail can be just seen peeking out from behind a tree

Anyone remember how HD went to DC to get tariffs placed on bikes over 700 ccs? Well, I Stopped by a local HD dealer's booth in the fair, and discovered that, in a weird turnabout, HD has released both 500 & 750 cc models! This is the smaller of the two...It looked to me like an HD had sex with a Honda Rebel...Looked like a Harley, only smaller! LOL! Enjoy!

Edit: forgot to share this little nugget...gotta wild hair Saturday morning & yanked my baffle for a half hour or so ride...OMG ! So loud! with a low (almost sub-aural) rumble at idle...She did NOT run ANY better, though....think I will leave it in from now on!

That Norton is "the cat's meow." How's that for period slang?

Your blue 650 sure is perty. If you have a hankerin' to add another 650 to your stable I believe there is a 77 KZ650B at Tikes Cycle Shop in Covington, OH, which is not far from you.

yeah, it looks to be in decent shape. If I had the cash I would have snagged it.

Thanks for checking it out. I figured it wouldn't last long. They've had a few of those in the past and they too sold rather quickly.

It looked like they also had a very nice Suzuki GS750E for sale. The pics made it look in really good shape. That is my other ride but it isn't in quite as good a shape as that one, and it doesn't run... yet.
