Alright, so this Saturday the 2nd at 9:00 AM

Meet at the Dish Restaurant:
734 Foothill Boulevard
La Canada, CA 91011

We'll make sure everyone's gassed up before departing, it'll be possibly 72 miles till gas along I-15. Looks like we'll be taking on Angeles Crest Highway from the west to east.

Depending upon the time we get to I-15 (have a hot date Saturday night  ), I might take CA-138 to Crestline then down the mountain on either 18, 330, or all the way to 38. Them's good mountain roads.

I have to be at work at 5:45pm. With the ride ending at the 15, we should be done in plenty of time for me to head home to Temecula/Murrieta area with time left before work?

Sounds great Joe, John was going to meet me at my house just before 8:00 so we could hit the road about 7:50. That should give us time to get there by 9:00.

Awe man, sorry to hear you can't make it Adam. Guess that means we'll have to plan another one soon. When does the KZ Rider North American Relay pass through this corner of the country?

Here's the route I'll most likely be taking: goo.gl/maps/NwK1

I made it home safe, I hope everyone else did too. Somehow I got 41 mpg on the tank of gas through angeles crest and down the 15 home, I can't believe it I was blasting down the 15 at 80. But it measures out at 114 miles, and I topped off in Riverside with 2.8 gallons. Bite me Prius owners, I have fun B)

Had a great ride. Been a long time since I rode that far. It was 52 miles to Marks house and then 45 miles to breakfast with the guys. The crest highway was fantastic! I don't think there is a straight section in all the 74 miles of it! Yea, 74 miles of solid curves! It was overcast and chilly heading to breakfast but once we hit the road it was perfect weather. Did I say what a great road that is? I ended up covering 240 miles and loved every minute of it. Look forward to our next ride...

The usual suspects at breakfast...

The usual suspects getaway vehicles...

Taking a break...

again...

Mark in deep thought...

A little scenery...

Final leg of trip back home. A boring 62 miles of freeway! lol

This was a great ride. first i want to say thanks for everyone for getting it together. i cant say enough about this road. it was such a nice day for a ride. Angeles Crest Hwy is just mile after mile of curvy road. up toward the top there were some rocks in the road, but traffic was really light. i turned around at the top and rode back the way we started. again, empty roads. i passed a few cars down at the bottom, but with so many turnouts its easy to keep your own pace. i thought it was going to be a trek just to get up there, but from my house in Costa Mesa it only took 40min. i will be back. this road just made Ortega Hwy look like the 405. ill be back up there. so thanks again to everyone involved. did anyone else notice that no one was really from LA/Ventura?

Adam, thanks for coming to grab a bite with us. see you all next time.
