Forrest and I would like to send out a special thanks to Goodfastncheap and his beautiful wife for their hugely generous gesture of putting us up in their place and his wife for making dinner and then breakfast. Wow! Then going for a spirited ride after through Iowa with Upncmmr before leaving for Jackson, Wyoming.
As if that wasn't enough they drove up to meet us on return journey so we wouldn't have to add more mileage and time to return trip. His fabulous wife made up a smorgasborg. The best damned chocolate chip cookies EVER.
Forrest was so happy you offered up your fuzzy, exotic fuzzy balls.

You are absolutely correct. I'm very fortunate to have such great riding terrain. I made the KZ1000 work had this weekend. She did great but frame gussets are now a higher priority.

Not to forget to mention J-man! Thanks for making that run for me and was sure nice to meet you. We have to do it again soon! The beers are a chilling.

Great job Laurence ! I'm glad you guys made it back OK and that it wasn't 40 deg. like I said it would be when you got home looking forward to the pics.

My KZ Rider North American Flag Relay Ride: Day One 7-24-13

We began our Epic Relay Leg within a Leg by travelling via truck & trailer to Bellevue, NE. Peter aka goodfastncheap and his lovely wife were the perfect hosts for the beginning of our KZR Relay Road Trip. Click on the thumbnail below for picture and detail.

Nate, I just went straight south on 73/75. Pic is just north of Sabetha, KS. And just 'cause we didn't get together at this point of the relay doesn't mean we can't meet up sometime! I love that part of the country down there, and maybe jason from down south of you can join us. Like Forrest has been saying, there's a whole lot more to it than moving the flag -- there are a whole lot of great people to meet that ride and maintain these vintage KZ's!

While Sabetha is easiest by way of US 36, I'd probably jog up north to NE 8 and over.

I have to reinstall windows 8 in my computer. I can't even download any programs to computer or reinstall it per their directions. WINDOWS 8 SUCKS BALLS!

Friday July 26th, Day 3 of the Trip, Day 2 of our Relaying The Flag. Day began in Casper, Wyoming. My helmet is custom air brushed. In addition to The Mad Duck and Daffy images, I have personal slogans garnered through the years ghosted in around the exterior of the helmet. I placed the KZ North American Relay Rider sticker next to, "Ride 'Em, Don't Hide 'Em! I found this very appropriate since this is a relay ride not a polish your ride.





Met a real genuine cowboy who rides his own custom Road King and rents motorcycles along U.S. Route 26 east of Dubois, WY. He also serves up a mean brisket sandwich!
