So being dropped off after dinner at the bike, and the Pearl Jade Green smiling back at me, I clicked off a pic.....

Needless to say, I was in a mood to crack that throttle and listen to the sound of a Meg at full chat. Did quite the ride home, practically dropping knee on every turn I could. I get home and roll into the garage and when I looked down, this is what I saw...

A freakin' Gieco Gecko was riding on my dash the whole time! That is the only place he could have been while riding. No lights on the way home, so he must have jumped aboard while my bike was parked during dinner. He enjoyed it because he didn't want to leave...lol My wife says she wonders why he climbed on board and I stated it was probable cause he saw the bike color and thought it was family!

Or they just know that the Green ones are faster........lol

Thanks for the kind words. That one has been massaged a bit.... It is also my track bike for track school.

BTW, your 3rd Gen was very nice! Grew up in a shop and did a lot of the same. Dad used to flat track and hate scramble TR6's and Bonnevilles in the 60's and 70's. When he taught me to ride I was about to get my own big bike, Mom put the kabash on that. Ended up getting into muscle cars and street trucks (growing trend in the 80's and 90's). Ended working for a high end muscle car resto/mod shop. Finally got back into bikes, but still love my American muscle with a Pro Touring approach. Your Camaro reminded me a lot of that. 2-3 years ago before I left MN we finished my Brother's '69 , frame off, Pro Touring build in 5th Gen Synergy Green.

Sorry about the rant! Just trying to say really likes your 3rd Gen.

Thanks Cory really appreciate that and glad you enjoyed it, sounds like you've had a Motorhead life for quite some time hahaha! Love building and wrenching on just about anything, but getting into bikes now has been amazing and extremely fulfilling and helped me get back into the game of wrenching after being out of it for many years with raising my family and our sons special circumstances and all the time and financial responsibilities that go with it. Been watching and keeping up with your bike build ever since I stumbled across it and am floored with what you are doing. Recognize a lot of it from my Mechanical Engineering days at the Colorado School of Mines, but there is still much that is beyond me :P

The engineering approach you take on that has fascinated me, would love to chat about some of those aspects sometime think it would be enlightening and a blast for sure :)

Thanks,
Brett

WOOF!!! Man I can see the time and dedication put into that car, 1000's of man hours and can easily see there being close to 100+ man hours in the paint and bodywork alone! Looks great there Cory and thanks for sharing, that is a brilliant 69' and straighter than the General ever delivered her :woohoo:
