Thought about doing that very thing. A little worried about the Z1 crank though. Would make for an interesting day. Be great to see and feel the speed of a turbo on top end. I've been 149 mph in the quarter mile and it didn't feel that fast. Going by the mph already ran, the bike should be running down around 9.3 second e.t.'s but I know there's a LOT more left. Those 9.8 second e.t.'s were only on 8 lbs. boost so what would it do with 20 lb.s or more.......

More interested in seeing how quick I can go without the bars though. Always wanted to run a 9.99 e.t. and said I'd be satisfied........well.....I want more now that it ran a 9.8. So that's the future goal....

What track do you ride at?
I don't live far from the Quads and if you decide to dust her off and give it a go I would like to watch you run B)

Main track is Cordova and sometimes go up to Byron. Want to try Route 66 and Indy track sometime but that one is a ways to go. Hope to try again next year. Need to do some maintenance on her before any racing happens. Thinking on changing a few things like shocks and better tires and maybe a longer arm. Want to go through motor and check things out beings it's been awhile since I've been able to mess with it. Might change a few things in motor also. It just depends on if I have time. Right now trailer is out of action so not expecting any track time before next year.

We were out in Byron yesterday, went right by the track, no pics there but I'm sure you have seen these before.
If you run next year please let us know ;)

Wow, invite would be nice next time. Perhaps a group ride there to see what our bikes will do? My Rex first time consistently ran 11.6 with a slipping clutch. I'm willing to bet my LTD would beat it.

Never been that close to those those towers but always watched them to see the wind. Definitely a landmark in that area. Didnt know you could get that close to the stacks. Looking down the track they are a little off to the right. Byron is an old track. Looks sorta scary if you take a close look at it. Lots of cracks and missing chunks of asphalt in places but it hooks good and I've never had a problem. Usually go up for the weekend foar the 2 Wheel Speed races about two-three times a year. No lights and they have a curfew so no racing usually after about 6-7 pm. Makes for a nice weekend if you have the time.

There is a road we took that brings you with in a few hundred feet of them, I would have stopped and taken a close up but you would not have known what it was, they are huge close up.
We just missed the TT races in Peoria IL, someone told me they were in September :pinch:
I will do some research on the two wheel events in Byron, that would be a cool day if we left for home by 6 or 7, there are a lot of deer between there and here

This may have been brought up at some point before but has anyone thought of taking all the bikes from the previous year's BOTM and putting them in a calendar or something as a fundraiser for the site? I just looked though them all and I thought it'd be a cool thing to have for the house in addition to helping keep all the good info on the site.
