Sometimes you find a decent deal, and the PO did me the service of taking the carbs off the bike and tearing them into a hundred pieces so I'm trying to jigsaw a set together out of what he gave me and a set of kz ones.

Even came with a vetter trunk and bags he wouldnt let me leave them at his house

Zukdave you cant go talking dragbikes right now, I might remember there's at least one 1980 ltd frame under my back porch and a spare 1000 motor and have to do that... And I do have a spare 10" wide slick I saved when one of my camaro's blew out... See? Bad idea!

Got the carb rack bolted together, four good slides, four good diaghrams, choke plungers and linkage, gotta find good jets, the old ones are white, crumbly and brittle with no threads. I was hoping this thing wouldn't have CV carbs when I heard of it, if I lucked out and it had smoothbores I would be happy, but nope it has them bastard BS34 carbs

Be sure to adjust the valves. Like a KZ1000 they are shim above bucket. Amazingly durable bikes. 100,000 miles is easy with half way decent care. This website has tons of info including a carb rebuild tutorial...members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/

i gotta be one of the biggest suzuki haters around  ,
but i could sure see building that into one of these clones ,

but,
then i would have to build a closet to hide it in and only touch it wearing high heels and stockings !!!!!!!!!

just razzin ya man.
looks like an awesome score and a killer project.
keep us posted as you bring it back.
