new guy here, but long term biker. i teach art up in montana and i donated another bike to my chopper club i created for our school. my $109.00 KZ750 twin is running and ready to be gunnin'. i hope you all could give me some gas tanks advice. im not going stock at all. what tanks would fit well...i can mod anything to mount, i'm the club sponsor
and the kids love cool. any ideas?

You say its for a school? Like sort of hands on class? Make one then, a simple prizm or coffin dont take too much to make

If I was building a tank for it I would have to see the bike from the side and figure out what lines look good.

Have the kids each draw the bike with a tank they from the side and the top down and pick one.

thank you for the thoughts. i've asked our shop teacher to help with the tank. im hoping he will. and the art kids are working up concept drawings. im happy you all replied.

Honestly if you fudge the thickness a bit (instead of using 16 gauge steel, use 14 gauge for example) and can run a nice straight bead of weld (where you can, inside and out to help with leaks) building a tank from decent sheet metal isnt hard. Come up with a pattern, fold where you can get away with it, weld where you must and plan everything out you can turn out something decent without to much trouble.

Although I'm sure with all the help you have on this you shouldnt hit too much trouble
