This thing has me seriously considering selling my KZ and VF700. I love the old bikes, but dang this thing looks crazy fun.

28K valve clearance checks so I would imagine just chain/fluid changes, no major maintenance in the time I would own it.

I really like the Ducati Monster 821 Dark also, but at $3K more than the Yamaha....whew, Mamma Mia!

My buddy has one, the thing is a blast. Light easy cornering, solid acceleration, and with the pipe he is running it sounds really cool. Now for the downside, it is terribly uncomfortable, and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind riding a gsxr long distances.
Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.

Is it the seat itself or the riding position? Its looks to have an upright seating position and that's part of the appeal for me. I don't find a gas tank stuck in my chest comfortable.

I'll have to see one in person before I get too serious. Maybe just sit on it for 30 minutes. B)

Check out the FZ07 while you're there, the Magazines that raved about the FZ09 are going nuts over the FZ07.

The seat sucks, and the rider position is still pretty cramped. Even with a gel seat installed it still is not for everyone. Only way to know for sure is to sit on it though.
