Yeah, I hope the flag is moving again before May! No matter where I'm at I hope I can tag along, at least for a few miles, I don't want to be a poser wearing a relay t-shirt if I don't get to participate!

I'm tearing it all the way to the frame, painting the frame, going through electrical, replacing rear shocks, rebuilding forks, and swapping in a gpz 750 motor with a 6-speed gearbox, and whatever else I can afford to do while it's apart.

Good job everyone!

For whatever reason that south wind yesterday was COLD! Just being on my Bayou 400 yesterday patrolling a fence nearly froze me through. I would still be frozen on a bike. Yup, I'm a wimp. Heh!

Another hand-off in the relay happened Saturday 11-17 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Leon (531Blackbanshee) and his crew. They are great folks and they rode with their family and friends to enjoy a sunny, but cool Saturday afternoon. We met at the Rock about noon, had a good lunch and conversation. I didn't realize Leon is also a machinist, and he does a lot of swing arm and triple-tree work. His stories were entertaining and I enjoyed meeting him and his lovely wife Ann, and his sister and husband and friends. Sorry Leon, I can't remember all their names. Here's some pics I took on the way out there riding along old RT.66, the mother road.

A field full of longhorns.

This soda bottle is at Pops, a cafe/gas station, soda store where you can buy soda from all over the world. This bottle is maybe 60 ft tall and can be seen for miles. It lights up at night in different colors, resembling soda being sucked up the straw.

The Rock Cafe, maybe the best food on Rt 66 between Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

My 650 and Leon's Z1R. Not the best picture, shadows are hard to deal with.

A better one of Leon's Z1R

Glad to hear the flag keeps marching on but Leon, What were you thinking? I remember a thread from along time ago with telling Oldmanrock you'd never post your pic for he would have a heyday photo chopping you. Games afoot. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Although, it is nice to put a face with a name ;)
