When two riders meet to pass the flag off try to find a photo friendly spot that has a town or the state name on a sign. Kind of adds to the fun of seeing where this flag has been. If you're in the witness protection program or just hate getting your photo taken then you can just leave your helmet on!

If that isn't possible at the meeting point then a photo posted here of you and the flag in each state you pass through would be great too! (or you can send it to me to post if you prefer)

The first leg is shooting for a start of March 12th I believe so that gives us a vague idea of when this thing might get to us to start leg#2.

Sounds awasome, but please remember: We have in the past had significant snow and minus 10 degree weather in march. April usually consistes of torrential downpours with temps barely above 0  We-shall-see approach is best.

Hey Tek, it's the 1st leg that is starting in March, we probably won't get the flag until later in the spring or sometime in the summer even. I'm hoping that those of us in the 2nd leg will have it ready to go on to the 3rd leg before the end of summer. I would be amazed if the flag has made it past the halfway point by the end of the year, just a lot of ground to cover IMHO.

Ok here is the updated map. I purposely did not link the Canadian riders as I’m not that familiar with the roads and such so I need you guys to work it out as to who gets it after TEK9INE has it.

I need to stress though that it needs to get to JACK in London last. He can take it as far as either Detroit or Port Huron.

HARM, can you go that far to the east to get it from JACK?

BLUEJ58, can you get it from HARM in St.Joseph?

That covers the north end as much as we can until I hear back from you guys up there.

Moving to the other end of the route;

KZCM has offered to cover a lot of ground and to fill the Mississippi gap by starting his route in Meridian MS.

ANY MISSISSIPPI RIDER IS STILL WELCOME TO HELP, JUST POST IT HERE!

KZCM can get it to ENAZ1, you two need to work out the where for the passing of the flag.

ENAZ1 will get it to BOATDRINKS and maybe KRAZY CHRIS, again you guys work out the where and if it will be a team ride to ENAZ1.

BOATDRINKS and/or KRAZY CHRIS will get it as far as the Kentucky-Tennessee border to meet RAMTOUGH63.

RAMTOUGH63 will get to some point north to KOOLAID KID (waiting on confirmation from him. If for some reason he cannot meet RAMTOUGH63 then I’ll fill the gap)

KOOLAID KID will get it to ANDY9802GT at a point to be determined.

ANDY9802GT will get it to KZRAGE (me) at a point to be determined.

KZRAGE will get it to HYPNOHIO (waiting on confirmation from him. If for some reason he cannot meet COBURA then I’ll fill the gap)

HYPNOHIO will get it to COBURA at a point to be determined.

COBURA will get it to the north side of Pittsburgh hopefully but this is where we have a big gap between there and TEK9INE in Niagara Falls area.

WE DESPERATELY NEED A RIDER OR RIDERS TO TAKE IT FROM PITTSBURGH TO AS NEAR THE BORDER AS POSSIBLE!!!

From there it goes through the Canadian gauntlet yet to be determined.

If I missed something or have someone doing something they can’t do or whatever just let me know so we can modify the passing of the flag points.

Quote from KZ_Rage ;BLUEJ58, can you get it from HARM in St.Joseph?

That is still my plan but I hope this doesn't become a race.

I'm figuring that I'll put on approx 450 miles round trip and would like a couple months of trouble free riding to feel confident about it.

Mid to late July should be plenty of time, but sooner if need be.

yeah some people have real lives and this is a relay not a race so we cant expect them to get it one day and ride another 200 miles or more the next day. it will take as long as it takes

Absolutely NOT! This is NOT a race! Everyone needs to ride their own ride, pace yourself to stay in your comfort zone!

I don't want anyone to push their speed or themselves to the point where they are riding tired. You should plan on making two trips, one to pick up and one to hand off.

If the distance is too far for a day trip then either make it an overnight trip or let us know so we can try to come up with an alternative route or some other solution.

Relayers need to communicate to each other so that it doesn't sit in someones garage while they go on a 2 week vacation or something.

So I got a question, if we are ok with mailing the token, why can't a non-kz ride with it? If I were allowed to ride with it myself on my KLR I could take it from Mark and would happily ride it up north to Jeff and then he could pass it off to M357 and we got everybody covered and no worries...
