Jim, hope everything is O.K.
AFA the flag, due to the extremely long time it has taken for the first exchanges to take place, I hold little confidence that this can be completed this year. A month to leave one state does not leave me feeling reassured.
Just my take on it, as I have already planned our in-out to take no longer than a week, and as short as one day, crossing Indiana and headed to Illinois. Hopefully the rest of the groups can learn from the long pauses of the current flag holders and speed things up, but I hold little hope.
I hope I am wrong, but current lack of progress gives me pause.

Melvin the flag is on its own schedule, best to watch the other relay threads here to monitor its progress to our leg. Still guessing June or later though at this point.

Hope you get better after surgery. That stuff stinks man.

DOG DAYS in the south....May-Oct. don't beat me up if I come riding up in shorts  J/K :cheer:

I ride year round mostly. Hope it gets down here in the fall or early winter.

Thanks guys, nothing serious just the old gallbladder reached its limit of cheeseburgers I guess!

The thing is so blocked that anything that's fried, dairy, has even a little fat or tomato in it sends me to hospital if I screw up. Even then it is acting up on its own it seems this week, will be taken out next Wednesday if all goes to plan. No more cardboard, grass and water for meals!

Jim, cardboard is for packing, grass is for smoking, and water is for the bong.
Jeez. Best of luck, I personally dislike pain.

Well I'm back on my feet but still probably a month away from able to ride. Hope you don't ever have an infected gallbladder, that hurts worse than kidney stones! Had to go to the ER 2 days earlier than expected and end up spending 3 days in the hospital.

Anyway, I appreciate everyone's patience and have got all who I think needed added to the map on there now. As for the Canadian section, I just took a wild stab at it as I couldn't find the thread where that was being discussed for some reason.

If any corrections or additions are needed, just let me know!

WE STILL NEED A RIDER BETWEEN PITTSBURGH AND CANADA, NOT THE WHOLE WAY NECESSARILY JUST A PART OF IT WILL HELP GREATLY!

Glad to hear you are back Jim. Not sure how you took the hospital stay, but bwringer was going crazy at the end of his last stay.
Just don't rush it, the bike will always be there waiting for you.

The staff was great but still it is a hospital and their idea of plenty of rest is 1-2 hours between someone coming in to do something to you. Back to real food now but mayo is still out, just a consequence of loosing the gallbladder I guess.

I recall being in the hospital (only once, had a disc removed). They would wake me up to take a sleeping pill. Hmmm.
When Brian was in the hospital I actually played room guard for him. If he was sleeping and the nurse/aid wanted to do something unimportant, I asked them to come back later. Never told him, but seemed the correct thing to do.

Glad your back Rage. Yup, the old saying, a hospital is the worse place you can be when your sick, holds true. I contemplated suicide(just kidding :silly: ) at one point during a 15 day hospital stay. :S :(
