Does anyone know if Tek9ine is in or out? He seemed pretty into this earlier, hope he is OK.

Also Toad is after JR, been a long while since he has posted about this best I can tell, so is he in or out?

If they are out then it goes to JR then on to Bear and back into the states then as it stands now.

Glad you guys are going to tribute Jack, I think it's a nice gesture, I had hoped that we could do that in his memory! :)

I PM'd toad a few weeks back and had no response. One of the Michigan guys tried also. Toad has not logged on for almost a month. He may have decided not tp participate.

Gotta say, it felt a little like handling a "hot potato" though, looking for someone to toss it to! I didn't want to hold up the process!

Here's the pic of the hand off to Dave (kawboy74) last night!

The h2 is a dream to ride! I still had most of the feeling left in my hands after getting home! I had to get the KZ on the road to do the second leg though! This is kzrider, right?

I called Barry yesterday (m357.5) with the idea that we might be able to ride towards each other in order to get him in on this. We only spoke for a second or 2. He was extremely busy. I waited for him to call me back, but he didn't. I called later and there was no answer on his cell. I figured it would be best to just move on as scheduled.

It's really too bad that so many likely won't get to be a part of this due to holidays and other things getting in the way. That's life though! :(

Man, those are some kinda fine Kawis guys. But PLEASE don't stand in front of them so we can drool over the pics of the bikes :silly:
Drooz, how do you like the new pipe? Did you make any vids of the bike with the new system? Sure would be nice to hear.
Performance compared to the modified Bassani?

No video yet. The kz isn't running as well as it should, but the "seat of the pants" dyno says it might be pulling a little stronger from mid range to the top. I'm waiting on a "new" set of bs34's to arrive and a new cam chain and tensioner. We should have a better idea how she runs then.

I'll try to get a short vid up regarding the sound as it sits asap! B)

Hey Drew, I thought we were the ones doing the relay ride so it was only fitting that our manly physiques should be showcased! I guess I will have to send in more pics of the bikes to satisfy everyone's need for Kaw! Looking to pass the flag this Sunday to JR.

Wow. News travels fast !!! I just got off the phone with Bear1 10 minutes ago.

Yes. I met up with Kawboy74 earlier in Paris Ontario and Bear1 and I plan to meet in Port Huron MI on Thursday afternoon. All going well we will fine tune the details over the next day or two.

Meanwhile heres a pic of the handoff. I will post more in the photo album under Ride Reports along with some details and an interesting little anecdote

Well, the flag is moving on in the more than capable hands of JR. As he mentioned, we met in Paris (sounds way too romantic!)and had a great time gabbing about a lot of things. The weather started out ok, then started to drizzle in places that it didn't seem like it would, then in places where it looked like the skies would open up, nothing happened. As luck would have it, the rain started just when we thought we would do the hand off of the flag but after separating and heading off it stopped about ten miles out. A little cleaning will be in the next few days I guess.
Thanks for the good time John and have a safe trip out and over the border. Talk to you when you get back.

I didn't get it that dirty Drew, it spit like crazy but the road never seemed to get wet enough to splash up on anything which surprised me! I was glad to get the flag to John so that it could get to the border. Lots of luck and safe riding on the next leg guys.

Hi Guys
Just need a little input regarding the flag.
When I picked up the flag on Monday evening David Kawboy74 and I were loking at the names and we could see #s 1 - 14 with the names and then #15b Mark1122 and then no numbers with the names.
I was thinking that given the recent events that would perhaps make:
#15 Jeffsaki
#16 dkmk
#16b Reborn650
#17 rstnick
#18 Drooz
#19 Kawboy74
and I could sign off as #20 JR when I hand off o Bear1 tomorrow

What do you think? Do you want to keep the numbering convention and should I fill in the blanks ? - it kind of gives an idea of the route...... or would some body care to do this at a later date ?

I think do it sooner, rather than later. If you are like me, it gets harder to remember things as days go by.

A question - is the flag in a ziplock bag or anything? How is the ink holding up?

It does make it simple to follow the sequence for those of us that are information junkies (I'm one of them). Kinda like a historical trail.
