Ummm... probably not.... any excuse to go to the mountains will do, right? Well you still need to go GET the flag! ;)

 uhhmmm, so I go to boatdrinks for a week waiting for the flag,....then what? By then we'll be so far in to boat season that no one down here will know what a KZ sounds like....
does that mean the Houston rider comes to Lake Pontchartrain for boatdrinks too? :P :cheer:

please read a bit of fun sarcasm into this post

Ohio just got another rider in Westerville to help out, I'll mod the map as soon as I can, if the fellow from Alabama would get back to me with his commitment then that would save me some effort to do both adds at one time.

Mark, good luck with the fix, I'm sure you'll get it worked out. Did the route look right for you guys in Canada? I know some are riding together and it isn't as shown so much but I figured that if 2 riders are carrying it together then one does the first hand off to them and the other does the hand off from them.

That will be fine.
the adjacent riders will figure it out for themselves anyway.
Thanks

i think my bike is ok for now. i just stopped the oil line leak, and then i stripped my shifter linkage. i seem to have that fixed for now. it should hold up for a while. so now its just a time frame thing.

Last I heard, the flag was stalled somewhere south of Boston?

Is there are update on that current status? I finally have my bike mostly out of mothballs, and i THINK she should only need an oil and fluid change at this point to be serviceable. Ok, probly a new battery etc....

I work 2 jobs and usually 6 days a week, although there is some flexibility in there... I couldn't make it as far as Boston, esecially since its unlikely I could leave here any earlier than 5:30 or six. But, I do have a place to stay in the Finger lakes, which is part of way. If there is someone else who can make it part way as well, that might be do-able. I shudder to think of how early I would have to be up to get back on time for work, but it could be done.

If someone has stepped into that breach already, then great. That's much farther away from my took kit than I've ever been with the bike.

Cheers,

Jon

The guy from Alabama here, unforeseen problems have kicked in so plan me out for the time being. I apologize and think this is a great idea and undertaking.
Again I'm sorry.

Thanks for the update Calvin, much appreciated! If your plans change before the flag gets to your state then be sure to let me know, we will gladly work something out as it will save the other two riders a lot of distance to have to cover.

Calvin, it may be a few weeks before the flag gets to your area, so don't count yourself out too soon. Hope you get everything together to ride in the KZ relay.

Haven't heard from Teknine in a while, was supposed to have this past week, but nothing so far. I'll try writing again.

I will also PM squadrider, and see what is going on there. Nodoby else is sitting in the middle so far?

I will see what I can do, but I work doubles 3 of the next 4 days, and am waiting on some parts in the meantime. Hope I get things running asap!

Still watching threads and waiting and hoping sooner rather than later. Still good for the last ride in southern Ontario and still good to get flag across to Michigan. If this goes into Auigust (hope not) then first week and last 10 days are a bust for me.

That sounds like the Queens University and University of Toronto grease pole rivalry!
