Got the bike out of the garage to do some work on it, got some pics before I put it on the lift. Actually took a little ride before these shots. Kinda getting attached to it, paints growing on me I guess.

I like it, pipe and some elbow grease and she will be with you a while :)

I could see the paint growing on me to if it still in good condition. My brother had a 70 302 Boss Mustang painted wild like that. The bell bottoms were cool back then, I think. ;)

Actually fitting the new tubular arm on it which is a 2" stretch where as this one is a 6" stretch and a chrome fender and header with polished engine covers. Would like to go with an 18" wheel in back also.

Keep the paint job. Get an extra tank, sides, and tail. Paint them any color you want and have two different schemes.
If you do decide to paint them see if a site member will trade the parts to you. I would be interested....Russ

Okay, I played with the tubular swingarm on the bike and got it debugged pretty good. Then, my nasty habit of not being able to leave well enough alone, I got back on the bolt in single shock deal again with a different approach. As if that wasn't enough, that extra frontend and wheels got used quicker than I had planned and here is what I ended up with.

Now if I can just leave that 1075 kit and ported head on the shelf.

That paint job is growing on me. I would totally run it like that.

You know you aren't leaving the 1075 kit on the shelf. I wish I could figure out where I was going to live. Once I settle down again I'm putting mine in the blue bike.

Not showing off at all, never intended to, just showing the difference. My intentions were to sell this bike but with the ride coming up we decided to keep it so I'm updating it a little. I was really shocked that the paint is so wrong for the old look but it actually looks at home now.

I am interested in a set of the badges! I almost hit you up for a set but was hesitant. Don't know what they will do to the scheme of it but I can always tape them on to see. Thanks!

As for the gauges they are autometer carbon fiber ultra lites. Made the dash and cups for them. I'm a little concerned about water problems but I'm a fair weather rider so may not be much to worry about.

That one took me a minute to understand patton, If I were to carry those around I wouldn't be needing to plan for the wedding this fall. Don't think she would buy that excuse. I'm still laughing over that one.

Thanks Leon, Wasn't planning on using some of my stashed parts but glad I did. I got rearsets and shifter lined out last night but that rear brake is killing me. I'm trying to keep the master cylinder tucked back up where stock one was, just need to get linkage to it.

No pics but got the rear sprocket hub cut down, rear caliper bracket modified for a brace and the brake linkage figured out. Went to put carbs on to see if the ZX6 cables would work only to find I've lost an intake manifold somewhere, anyone got an extra 34mm intake manifold? Hate to buy a whole new set. I might very well have this done by mid March. :woohoo:
