Picked this up this morning. I actually rode this thing before I bought it. Bone stock motor with 28 carbs with pumps, still has the stock air box. Chassis has been raked 5deg and has a 6" over club arm with shocks. It actually rode nice, starts up and runs perfect. Paint is VERY nice. Nice list of new things and stuff been done to it. The guy I bought it off has arthritis and is going in for foot surgery and can no longer ride. Now the hard part is do I keep it? I don't want to be on that show "hoarders".

Keep it! A hoarder is a guy with 100 bikes that don't run. A guy with 100 bikes that run is called a collector.

Nice Les....

I realize pictures can be deceiving but it seems as though the paint job was done fairly well... In a weird kind of way, hell of an eye grabber so I'd possibly keep it as is as well....

ive got a 73 z1 sitting in the barn with the gold/green metalflake body work from back in the day with kawasaki airbrushed in huge letters on tank.
im guessing that must of been somebodys dragbike back in the day ,then they shoved a stock motor back in it and used big motor in something else.

Yeah, the paint is wild and actually some nice work, glass smooth. After getting it home and looking at it for a while it kinda grew on me. I believe I started thinking about all the work that went into it. I may keep it just to have something to buzz around on. The Z1R isn't going to be something to just putt around on so maybe I can justify keeping it, at least until I can finish the next project which I'm allready getting parts up for. Got to stay ahead of the game and be prepared for obstacles, right? Heck, I've allready got my next 2 build ideas in my head waiting for the Z1R's finish.

I'll try and get some camera pics instead of phone pics. The bike is actually very nice. It needs a little bling so a chrome pipe and engine covers are in order and that swingarm has got to go. I'll put 1 of mine on it.
If things keep up I may sacrifice it for working capitol but have decided to keep it for now.

It is nice. Try and get us some more pictures. I know I'd like to see more of her. Great vintage paint.
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
