My trip would have been Minneapolis to Duluth MN. So again Im sorry and I hope that the route can be adjusted by the time it gets here. Or theres always next year, but its starting to move fairly well now.

My prayers go out to your father and family. Spend as much time as possible with them now.
I hope only your pride was injured in the woops. As far as the Relay goes you're not out of it til the flag goes past you. If it turns out I'm taking the flag up your way, I'll stop by to say 'Hi' I think you'll have plenty of time to get the bike back in shape. Post what you need, parts may come out of the woodwork.

I've pinned myself for Maine. Hopefully the weather improves by the time the flag gets here.

Sounds like a flash back of mine. :) The last time I reveed to high dumped the clutch with a passenger he baled I stayed on and when me and the bike came over backwards I smashed my left knee and have limped and have had multiple surgeries over the years. ( That was 25 plus years ago)
The bike can be fixed just glad yall were not hurt other than your pride. B)

Spend all the time with Dad that you can. I just lost my Father in November and feel your pain bro. :(

Thank you for the well wishes guys, its been tough. Yeah he's 92 but he golfed all last year, so its come on pretty quick. and yes only pride injured (son inlaw thought it was assome) as for the bike, it looks like the rear motor mounts are bent, so the motor will come out again. Damn only had it on the road last summer, first time in 15 years.(kids)
The whole time I had carb issues, running rich with 17.5 pilots and 117 main on 1015 cc, 29 smoothbores. But it takes off fast LOL
Again thanks for your thoughts and well wishes

We'll be riding the Virginia leg of the relay this Saturday. Here's the route if anyone is interested: g.co/maps/kfawv

Of course I've got to get from home to South Hill and back again. So all told it'll be about 10 hours over two days and about 465 miles. Not a lot for many of you, but this'll be my first big trip for me.

On Sunday 650ED (who came up with this whole idea) will pick up from me and ride through WVA, MD, PA, and DE.

Be safe and enjoy the ride. Make sure you stay hydrated for the trip.

Is Ed going to be leaving Sunday or next weekend?

I plan to receive the flag this Sunday in Leesburg, VA then ride it through WV, PA, and then to home in MD. The concern I have at the moment is who to hand it off to and when. The idea was to take it sometime after this Sunday up to Delaware to pass it to Haggard Scott, but I haven't heard anything from him in a couple months. Anyone know if he is still in the game or if there are any other potential riders in NJ or DE or Eastern PA? I'll need to pass it to some one. Ed

Ed, I searched for Scott on the KZR user list search. It shows his last login to KZR was April 15. At that time the flag was still in Fl. So who knows, maybe he has something work related or vacation time away. In Florida, we kept in communication via email and each others cell phone numbers. Without them, things would have taken even longer. Good luck.

Spending the morning reviewing my route and checking the weather. Will meet Tybolt99 this morning around 11:30 in South Hill, VA. My buddy Doug will be riding along on a modern Kawi Concourse. I'm still hoping JimStan shows up in South Hill, but haven't heard from him in a while.

Then we'll ride up to Leesburg, VA and I will meet 650Ed there Sunday morning at 9:00am.

Looks like the rain may be chasing us the whole way. Think dry thoughts everyone.
