Hi there Kraza,
I also have a D2 sold in Australia, may I ask where yours was bought, that is original Dealership.
I was in the belief that most of the 300 went to Germany with the exception of 3 that found their way to Australia.

Cheers Shane

I would love to see some pictures.  I've never found a real picture of a D2.

As for the market for the D2, folks in this thread have claimed that they all went either to Germany or to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

You really think they only imported 3 motorcycles to Australia?  That would be surprising, and it would hardly seems worth the effort.

I guess it would also be surprising if all of the D2 production went to Germany, as it seems like the D1 didn't sell well there.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHere is a Z1R serial number oddity.

ebay.com/itm/393589311522

It looks like a 1978, but it's listed as a 1980.  The listing gives the frame number as KZT00D-016937, and the photos show an engine number close to that (016943, not sure about the 3).  That serial number should be for a 1978.

www.zedder.com/Info/78%20KZ1000-D1%20Z1-R.htm

But the photos show the top half of the white frame tag, and the date shown is 11/79, which would be a 1980 D3.  Unfortunately the bottom of the tag with the frame number is not shown.

It's doesn't seem to be listed using the engine number, but if the frame tag really says 016937 how can it also say 11/79?
