This is the ignition coil I put in my bike. Like stated prior, people are saying that both posts can be used with either the power wire or the points signal wire. If I reverse them, I blow my main fuse...
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Spark issue found. I was losing 2 V between the battery and the coil. I ran a wire straight from the positive terminal to the coil (only for testing purposes) and was able to get spark. Now to solve whatever is the real issue (probably something with the 35 year old wiring...)

Sounds like you get to clean all your electrical connections including the insides of the handle bar switches.

I am getting the bike together now. Getting solid spark(I cleaned some connections and shortened the extension I put on the wire going to the coil.) Just working on putting the fuel lines back on the carbs.... which I am trying to remember how they went... lol

Alright. Right now I am getting it to turn over, and getting spark. it rumbles like it thinks about starting... but has not ran yet. I gotta check my timing, but even if that was off, you would think there would still be something. I am not sure yet, still looking, but wanted to post an update.

I got her to run... by spraying starting fluid into the spark plug holes... Good news, engine runs. Bad news? I have not been able to remove the intake side caps to check clearances. Guess she is coming apart today.

YouTube video of my bike, and it runs. Still have to tinker a little, but the hard stuff is done!
