I drove 6 hours round trip to drop off a modified 74 Z1 to a guy and to buy a all original low mile 1 owner 75 Z1 from a 70yo man. Its been sitting since 84 but luckily he stored it properly and in a dry building.

Yea the windshield, crash bar & sissybar look to be straight out of the 70's. A fellow member on a KZ facebook page, Kawasaki KZ Riders, told me about it and gave me the seller's number. He passed on it because he was looking for more of a race bike, you know stretched out. I prefer them original It was so cheap i was surprised he passed on it!

I can't believe how original it is. I'm gonna change the oil, filter, plugs and clean the carbs so i can get her running.

Better adjust the valves while you are at it. Looks like a real beauty!

Yesterday when i bought this bike i chatted with the seller for a bit. I asked him what's the fastest he ever got it up to he replied "About 80, i only used it to take the wife to Skyline Drive" He lives in that area. So i don't think this bike was abused or beat on.

What a gem!

I wouldn't change a thing. It may not be 100% but it's the ultimate survivor. All the aftermarket and options are period. Clean it up and take it to shows, you'll be raking in the prizes.

Please tell the Japanese buyers you run into that want to re import these a kindly "No, thank you." and keep this one in the states.

You don't think it's 100% original? Please educate me on what is not original to a 1975. I think the master cyl has been changed, what's your opinion? And of course the accessories aren't original Kawasaki parts but they are from the correct era. I don't plan to change anything except maybe removing the accessories to give it a more factory look. I plan to keep it as original as possible.
