I was hoping for some help.
I have a 75 Z1B. It does not have a seat latch assembly. I think Z1 has the assembly I am looking for.
However when I look at the picture of it, I have no idea how it fits. In fact I think I still need a peg for the seat pan.
I was hoping someone with a 75 KZ 900 might post a picture of their seat assembly and seat so i can see how it is suppose to fit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I dont have a picture but on the frame there is a hollow tube with a turning groove (quarter turn ramp/screw deal) without that the Z1 assembly wont work. The kz one would probably be easier to adapt, more compact and lighter as well

looks like the right one, just missing the latch and arm. The one on the seat is wrong too. Looks like a KZ 900 catch.

You would need a complete seat latch assembly like this

but it appears someone cut off frame lug on your bike that the latch fits into.
Your screwed

Thats the orange 'bike of the month' odd it wasn't set up with any kind of seat latch to me.

Just put a kz style one on it, gotta grind paint off and weld a bracket on to fit one tho

The ebay item id given is invalid, no result has been sent so I guess the next question is will another seat latch assembly work giving the modified frame?
