I am also getting the wiring sorted bit by bit including getting the Dyna S wired up. I just ordered new 8mm wires to match my Dyna coils. Progress should pick up again. I took a break from the KZ to get my Honda painted and cleaned up. And since we all love pictures, I leave you with a picture of my 81 Honda Supersport

Way cool - another classic looking machine,, the Honda CB-F series....this is one I used to own, now belongs to my best friend...big block 1100F...only stock / unmodified parts left on it is the seat and the spring that holds the side stand up! Compression ratio is 14:1, it sounds like a 426 Hemi at idle, has enough bottom end torque to spin the tire in fourth gear at 35 mph, yet geared for 208 mph at 10,000 RPM! He kept it deceptively stock looking, but there is hundreds of hours in that engine.

... and a two (maybe even a five, I don't recall) pound NOS bottle under the seat cowl / tail section...

Apart from the Z these CB900/1100R honda were without doubt one of the nicest looking bikes, I am surprised I don't see more of them done up.
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, getting new/ refurbished 83-84 motor soon
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as above)

No one around here has beat that bike in a roll on or top speed. I'll have another go when my KZ1394 engine is ready, but I still don't think I'm going to win....

Last time that I tried, he left me behind so bad that after about 30 seconds, I couldn't even see his bike in front of me anymore.

Oh, and it burned up almost a full tank of fuel (20 L tank) and the entire bottle of NOS on that run too. His comment following that was interesting, because he is pretty tight lipped about horsepower and top speed, but right after that he said "I was worried, because it started to shake and weave at 175 mph, but once it cleared 200 it smoothed back out again".

Haven't been on in a while but progress has been made. I am slowly working on a set of carbon fiber side covers as well as a carbon chain guard and front fender. Also stripped the bike back down and painted it with a single stage black. I had to cut off the kick stand because it was interfering with my shift linkage. I replaced it with a stand off of a 900RR. Also replaced the factory fork springs with a heavier sprung set from race tech.

Oh and picked up a set of ZRX shocks for $150 usd

And new rear sets

This is everything mocked up before the new springs.

You can just barely make out the where the bike was sitting before the new springs. Gained over an inch and the stance is much nicer. Not to mention more ground clearance
