The paint looks good with the stripes.

Bike looks better with the spokes than it would with the abe wheels too

Honestly if i see another restored bike I'l puke \\\

I totally agree with the original paint sentiment. Original is fine for purists and collectors, but what fun is it if all bikes look alike???...BORING! lol. Looking good. ...................Mike

Nice job! Looks like a stock resto besides the paint? Great color too.

Nice ride Barry. Always liked the 4-2 sidewinder pipe look but never had a chance to use them on a bike of my own to know how they are performance-wise. Wld love to hear how they sound and perform. Did you add them? ......................Mike

Beautiful looking bike. It takes a bit register that that's a Z1 with that paint job. You can see by my avatar that I don't have an original paint scheme either, though it is a period correct mod.

Where'd you get the exhaust?

I don't get the 'doesn't look like a z1 with that paint' sentiment. No Z1 I ever grew up seeing had ANYTHING looking like a stock paint job on it, candy paint, tons of metal flake, a stripe or two over a solid color, that's a Z1.

I believe he posted in the ebay thread that he found the exhaust on there for some stupidly cheap price.

That's not a knock. The paint looks beautiful. It puts me in mind of a '78 KZ1000, that's all.

I am not trying to be negative at all. I admire the work he's done and am very happy to see one restored.

I hope he enjoys that one and then does another. He seems to have the knack for it.
