You made a good choice. Far fewer Z1Rs out there than ZRXs. You can get one of those later. N.W. IN? We should ride sometime.

Bike was last titled 3 years ago he did not ride it much then either. Wheeled it out of the garage pumped up the front tire .jumped it off of a golf cart .put half a gallon of gas in it
I took it down the road and it shifted through 1st 2nd and 3rd. I ran out of road
Turned around and got on it The bike squatted and launched! Shifting to 2nd the ass end kicked out about half a foot and continued moving..

cam gears may be cheaper than an engine.

but,
i think the working man in me would pack rags around the cams and scrape the rest of the rubber off and drop the pan an check the screen on the pump.
if i still wasn't scared i would button it back up and roll it.

imho,

My thoughts exactly. If you want to do it right, new cams. If you want to run existing cam, I would get the rest of the rubber off the cog. Isn't the purpose of the rubber to provide sound dampening? May not affect anything else except more noise.

all the after market cam gears i have seen did not have any rubber on them.so i wouldn't sweat not having it.

My thoughts run it I will check the screen on the pump. Knock any loose bits off that I can intake valves all within spec exhaust valves 0.15 on three of them will have to shim.
