Ooooh shiny. Pine Sol soak comes recommended by me, still need to blow air through all the carb passages but I just wanted to give everything a good cleaning. For the record the oil cooler lines were black when I started the soak

Are those the TK-26 carbs? I'm about to pull mine and clean them. Any advice on the PineSol? did you cut it with water at all? How long did you soak for? They look like they turned out amazing.

Sorry I haven't gotten anything done at all. I'm closing on my first home soon so been a bit busy. Will probably be able to dive back in after the move.

As far as the pine sol goes, yeah I did about a 50/50 blend with water. Make sure everything you soak is 100% submerged because if it dries out on the surface you pretty much have to start over to remove it. Just soak it, mixing, shaking or stirring every so often until it feels/looks clean. Than give it all a real good rinsing to get all of the pine sol off and use blowing air to ensure its clean and dry.

(Also I'm a newb so take what I say with a grain of salt, but everything has gone well so far)

Packing up for the move! Hard to believe there's do many parts of such a small bike.

I worked on the bike!!!! After buying a house, moving, losing much of my stuff (in my garage) and having a kid, I made time and got some shit done today.

My buddy and I got the front thrown on and the swingarm on. Everything is just mocked up (wooden dowels for pivot and axle) and tacked in with scrap but we now know it will all work. We're going to get it all designed up and start cutting final pieces.

Nothing new really, got dinner at my buddy's house and mocked up the tank and seat. I'd like to do a bolt on subframe, possibly aluminum trellis.

He's going to come by this week and drop off my bike and one of his for me to ride in the mean time. I'll start working on the tail and seat mating. I've got a parts bike frame to play with and I might start making a jig to create the new subframe from.

I know it's been a while on this thread, but I've got a couple of questions.

I'm using 94-97 ZX9R front forks, and the front and rear wheels for my project. However, I ended up going with a 2008 ZX6R swingarm, which means my 95 9R rear wheel is a "no go" without machine work

I may swap to zx6r wheels, but I'm not sure if the front will drop into the zx9 forks

What is the width of the zx6r front wheel (rotor to rotor)?
What angle is the swingarm? or rather, what is the distance from the upper frame rail (seat pan horizontal) to the top of the shock?
