Nice wiring layout. I wish I was that organized and neat. Mine looks like a squirrels nest. I keep saying I'll make it neat after I get it running but that day never comes. Now lets see those Fuel pics the anticipation is killing me.

Killing you and me both brother!! Everything should be here today or tomorrow, so I might even get to work on it a little this weekend. Short list, Walbro, FPR, Billet filter, AN-6, FP Gauge, etc.. All (or most) black..

Have you made decision on what sprockets and chain you going to use?

I have not made that decision at this point, still considering a couple different options. Soon..

jydog, this pic is for you.. When you get ready to do something with your ignition, this is certainly worth a look. For $80 bucks, sealed unit, with a spare pair of ignitors it seemed like a no brainer.

Ok, started working on the fuel system and here is what I have layed out so far. Was going to try and keep everything tucked under the tank, but we all know what kinda space is available there. So after looking at some of the original GPZ routing and some other bikes this is what I came up with.

I am going to mount the fuel pump and filter behind the battery tray. Im not thrilled with the extra fuel line, but this is similar to what they did back in the day, and it fits nicely and will be easy to wire and service.

Fuel filter will be here and easily serviceable.

The FPR will actually sit about an inch deeper under the tank once I redo the mount plate.

That is kinda the direction im going with it. I had to order additional fittings which should be here today so I can test route everything.

If anyone has any feedback, let me know.

Thanks Jack. I'll definitly take a look at that unit. My question for you now is how do you plan on fuel to and from the tank. Are you using a gpz tank? Nice layout by the way. Looks better than OEM.

Thanks guys... jydog, I am using a GPZ tank, so the return is already there and ready to go. Makes things a little easier for sure.

Whats up fellas... I know I have been a little delinquent on the updates, but its summer and with four kids out of school, you can imagine where the time goes!! But guess what tomorrow is!!! BACK TO SCHOOL BABY!!! In all seriousness, its been a crazy summer, and we all know how things tend to get in the way.. (like other projects.. )

I have managed to squeeze in a little work on the bike and here are a couple shots I took a few weeks ago when I swapped out my lifts.

And here is my new lift.. The red one was working just fine, but I couldn't pass up a deal on a handy lift.. Sold the red one.

I did work on the bike some this weekend and managed to get all the fuel done except for the return, which I can't do til the tank is back on. I started wiring up the Quad Spark and got all the fuel and ignition to come on/off with the kill switch, so nice to see that sometimes things do work out like you planned.

This is where I decided to mount the Quad Spark.

So at this point I have to finish wiring up the Quad Spark and go over everything and I THINK I will be able to hook this bad boy up to the computer and start checking the ignition pickups and see if I can get it to fire! Maybe this week, we shall see..
