Kawasaki Road Race Sidecar was created by Jack
Not mine, but I get to help a little...Z1 powered roadrace sidecar raced by the late Greg Cox and Billy Davidson in the 70's & 80's. Later Billy partnered with Pat Dunn who was at PM forever and now is with Barnett.

The project is to rebuild the classic rig for parade laps and outright fun. Lang Hindle is coming on board with a period correct 450 Honda pistoned engine and will be fabbing the exhaust. Mike Law at Raceworks has been tapped for new bodywork and we'll need to track down funnybiker/sign painter extrordinnaire Dave Connery for the lettering.

Yes, PFQ stands for exactly what you think it does.

Cool. Don't know why, but I was always fascinated by those sidecar racers, just something about them. I guess it takes a bit of craziness to race bikes, but those guys in the sidecars are just insane...

Looking forward to pics of the project.

Awesome pics! Thanks Jack. It takes a special kind of crazy to be the monkey. In every one of those pictures where he is taking a left Davidson's butt is below the third tire. You only have to mistime that once to learn a painful lesson.

Skid marks after too many jalapenos.

I think that I would be gluing some knee pucks back there if I were him. Heck, get some of those pucks with the titanium inserts. Then you could drag ass, throw white sparks, and generally be the coolest monkey ever.

Sorry to hijack, but I just saw that the HD Theater channel is getting ready to air the latest Isle of Man TT. That's some crazy sidecar racing there. Could you imagine ripping down Bray Hill while tucked in behind the driver. You couldn't even tell when those massive bumps were coming.

I was at the TT in 2007 and the sidecar racing was spectacular! Those guys must get air 20 times a lap. We were able to watch at Sulby Straight and Mountain Box, very cool stuff.

Cool project Jack.
Me, I'd feel kinda of funny on a bike that doesn't lean, much.
Dave Connery did the paint on my bike way back when. Did a great job.

Here's some pix of a kz650 rig doing some laps:
