In my case the sporty shocks were an improvement all around. My S & W's were to stiff when I laid then down a bit. Sportys ride nice. I kind of enjoy wiring. :cheer:

I need to get new bushings, can't use the old ones (bottom eyes are different size).
Anybody got a good source?

someone with a lathe could spin up some (insert favorite plastic name)bushings if you can't find some rubber ones.

I made a new starter cable...

It's 8ga, stock wire was 10ga.

. . . .

Excellent job! Looks to be soldered as well as crimped. :cheer:

Is nice to see a soldering result with no melt-damage to the wire sheathing.
Or maybe that's heat shrink over the sheathing up to the lug -- also "acceptable."

Good Fortune! :)

Belt + suspenders!

The Panavise makes a decent heat sink.

Two layers of heat shrink.

Holy crap, man. That's one boat load of work you've put into your KZP. Now I feel feeble for leaving mine stock. ;)
Keepin' the rubber side down.

Great job on bike. you are bringing back major memories of my 1994 Kawasaki KZ1000P. I've taken off all the cop stuff on the bike and, now it looks more like a KZ1000. Wiring was quite the project but well worth the hard work and countless hours put into rewiring!

I've finally got it running. Will ride it for a while then, do some more mods then, paint the bike. Click on my signature to see before and after pics . Best of luck with your bike. Happy, safe riding! :)
