Nice stance, not every bike has to look slammed-raked-streched-straight-line-no-curve -dragster. Some bikes just are nicer looking like real RR-replicas:P Weird tilt on the front fairing though :S

14 1/4 sounds a little tall to me. Just measured my Ohlins and they are 32cm = 12,8". Front is GSXR ´98 USD which is shorter than original and bike leans slighly forward (just the way I like them to do). Handles very well, fast on corners, steady att readline 190-200kmh. So if your fron is stock it could just be fine. It'll probably feel faster in handling which I think is good since these bikes are kinda longish and slow handling.

Fin,
Thanks man! I was just kidding; that's one of my bikes in the early 'before' stages when I first got it; it's a 'clone' so I have no qualms modifying it and in this photo I was jokingly referring to these:
78 Kawasaki Z1R
81 Kawasaki KZ1000J (mods)
82 Kawasaki ELR Clone (1000 J)
82 Kawasaki KZ750R1/GPz750 ELR-ed
70 Kawasaki KV75
83 Honda CB1100F (few mods)
79 Suzuki GS1000 (rolling frame / project / junk)
84 Suzuki GS1150ES (modified project)
83 Yamaha XJ900R (project / junk)

The joke was going to be something like "when you put these on your bike, you end up doing this" and then I'd post up this pic and it'd be a 'joke on me' because now I'm in the middle of modifying the crap out of a perfectly good bike and I can't ride it b/c of this...

Are you kidding, hijack away! Great input guys, thanks! Fin, that ELR is sick! Hey Bad Kaw, the second photo, are those white ones CBR F2 wheels? If so could you elaborate on the 'mating ritual'? I know they are simple swaps for guys building retro-modern CBs and it looks like I see stock chain adjusters, right? Tell me more, I love the look of 'em! - Mike

Good call, but not quite. That is actually a VFR750 wheel of the year that they had 4.5" rears on conventional dual-sided swingarms...dunno what year that is, sorry. But yeah, if I remember right the wheel slotted in, but KZ arms are skinny and the tire rubbed. It's not on there now, and it was only on for a while to push the ol' girl around the garage, but if I recall correctly (and I do B) ) the axles and internal sleeves (bearings included) are the same, so that's a nice thing.
I have a 5.5" CBR900RR rear wheel on my CB900/1100F and it slots in with room to spare...go figure...grrrrrr.
The PM stuff is off a ZXR750 race bike, have oversized rotors, and will go on the other J bike. :)
