Another option is www.motionpro.com. Just tell them what ends it needs on it and what length and they will make the customer cable for you. Not much cost difference vs. a standarded cable.

As always, a beautiful, well thought out bike!

I didn't realize motion-pro offered custom cables. That's awesome!
When you tell them what ends you need, do you have to give them dimensions or just say "top cable fitting for 77kz1000" and bottom cable for '86 Suzuki GSXR750"?

Just tell them what bikes the ends need to match and what length you need.

Oh boy...

The Gixxer I built for my buddy is delivered, he took it home to California. Then he calls me to tell me to pick up a bike.
He bought me a real nice GS750E as a thank you gift...

Now who out there knows of a good building Forum for the 83 GS...

This one is a survivor, no molestation has occurred. I am about 30 days from finishing the KZ, then its on to restoring this GS.

Thank you !!

I have been offline for a while. The other bike (Suzuki)
has been getting some attention. I am now turning back to the KZ as funding permits.

I leveled the bike and set it on a scale, firs the front, then the rear. Weighs in at 440 pounds with half tank fuel. A little heavier than I was shooting for. Wanted to hold it at 425 dry. 2.2 gallons of fuel weigh about 13.75 pounds, which would give it a dry weight of 426.5 pounds. Not bad.

The gages are on, I plug them in and the signal lights are now all jacked up. I suppose the LTD model was just a wire or two different than the standard, so I have to pull each lead out of the connector and resort some more wiring.

I am looking for some nice headlight mounts. Seems like you can get them for 20 dollars or two hundred. Nothing in between. The forks are 43 mm in diameter. Any ideas?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

I used a early LTD bracket on my 1000 that mounts to the gauge bracket studs. Made a copy but slightly wider for the 8" Gs1100E headlight on the 900. Works great and super simple.

It was quick and simple for now. And cost effective. Unlike some other components. Lol
